We all know the BL world is a shining example of problematic but Hideyoshico’s Wait for Me at Udagawachou takes the cake. While easy to read, this 2011 manga fails in its accuracy or character development.
Country Diaries is a BL manga by Isino Aya where Kurumizawa, a professor, abandons his city life for farming and it’s all very pure. He loves nature and finds peace and joy in working his little farm and finding a community among the other farmers there.
Doughnuts under a Crescent Moon starts with Hinako’s breakdown in a lonely street and her wish to love herself and to find love. Asahi, her serious and capable co-worker, finds her crouched like that, and from there, they develop a friendship and maybe more.
Despite all the rave, Kakegurui seems to have rubbed a lot of people the wrong way. And while I don’t agree with most of the criticism, I do think this anime had a major problem that most people are ignoring because… you know… anime.
